Jorie Emory is an artist, educator, and nonprofit professional who works at the intersection of art, environment, and community.
Working predominately in textiles and printmaking, Jorie is a handweaver and natural dyer. Her work explores relationships in nature.
Jorie holds a Ph.D. in Art Education from the Ohio State University. Her research and professional interests are interdisciplinary art+ecology and social justice through critical public pedagogy. She currently works as Director of Community Strategies at River Network, a national river and watershed conservation NGO, and she occasionally teaches graduate-level courses on nonprofit fundraising, research methods, and management.
